Traditions and innovations in the system of personnel training for law enforcement agencies

International seminar of heads of higher educational institutions of police.

On May 15, 2018 the International training center on migration and combating trafficking in human beings of the educational establishment “The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus” hosted an International seminar of heads of higher educational institutions of police on "Traditions and innovations in the system of personnel training for law enforcement agencies." This event was held as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the following higher educational institutions: the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Moscow University of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia, St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Interior of Russia, the All-Russian Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Krasnodar University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Academy of Law and Administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Rostov Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Tyumen Institute of Advanced Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Academy of "Stefan cel Mare" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, the College of State Police of the Republic of Latvia, the Chinese University of Criminal Police of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B.Beysenov, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Criminalistic Police Academy of the Republic of Serbia, the Almata Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M.Esbulatov, National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

During the seminar, reports were delivered by the professor of the Department of Internal Affairs Management of the Faculty of Advanced Studies and Retraining of the Academy of the Ministry of Interior Yuri Sivakov on "Training of Personnel in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs", by Head of the Criminal Procedure Department Pavel Gridiushko on "Increasing the motivation of students through increasing interest in learning" and by ad interim head of educational department of the Academy Elena Kotenko on "Finding a needle in a pile of hay." At the end of each report, the participants discussed issues of mutual interest within the problem field of the seminar.
